Saturday 13 June 2015
For the first time in several years the annual Crews’ Race and Muster was to Lamlash with 5 boats taking part in the race. The race was won by Judicious helmed by Joan Adams. After nearly 6 hours of sailing only seconds separated Judicious and Randan over the water and minutes between first and fourth. All crews struggled to deal with the lack of wind but should be congratulated for staying with it.
Overall there were 13 boats in attendance and the Muster (and BBQ) was held on the beach near to the Cordon Camp site. The visit coincided with Arran’s Triathlon and we had a great view of proceedings as the competitors ran past.
The evening concluded with the annual RNLI fundraising duck race which raised the sum of £117.

With the forecast of easterly winds overnight boats headed for the sheltered anchorage of Holy Isle. This proved to be a good decision and was the location for a raft up for a couple of hours before every one headed home or further afield.

The Club's next muster will be in Tarbert on Saturday 27th June. Clyde Corinthian Yacht Club will be joining us ashore for drinks. It is also Tarbert’s Viking Festival week-end. We will have berths reserved for club members attending the muster.
