Firth of Clyde - BUTE TO CUMBRAE CABLE INSPECTIONS

Mariners are advised that Briggs Marine Contractors Limited will be undertaking cable inspections utilising ROV operations between the Isle of Cumbrae and Bute from their vessel MV CAMERON.

The works are to be carried out between Bruchag Point ( 56 46.61 N 005 00.39 W ) and Sheriff's Port ( 55 45.49 N 004 56.84 W ). Also between Kerrytonlia Point ( 55 45.99 N 005 00.30 W ) and Doughend Hole ( 55 44.83 N 004 57.00 W ).

Operations will commence Tuesday 21st Jan 2014 until Friday 24th Jan 2014.

MV CAMERON will be Restricted in her ability to manoeuvre. It is requested that all vessels within the area maintain a safe distance and pass at minimum speed.

Operations will be carried out during the hours of daylight, during which time MV CAMERON will display the appropriate day shapes/signals and at times of reduced visibility the appropriate lights as required by the IRPCS. She will also actively transmit an AIS signal.
